FIBULAroma jewelry is born in the hands of the "Cerista", a profession
somewhat difficult to define. The "Cerista" embodies the skills and steady
hand of the artisan and the inspiration and creativity of the artist. This wax "jewel", as delicate and fragile as the wings of a butterfly, will never be worn; however, it gives rise to a unique work of art, a one of a kind piece that only one woman will be able to possess.

The technical procedure utilized - defined as "cera persa", literally translated to "lost wax"- has it's origins in the distant past, the 3rd millenium B.C. The wax models are placed on a "tree", it too made of wax. The "tree" is then inserted
in a cylinder which is later filled with molten quartz. The firing of the cylinder eliminates the wax , leaving molds where the wax models once were. Molten gold is then pored into the cylinder, filling the molds and therefore creating the gold jewelry which will later be refinished by the goldsmith. The last step is to set the precious stones onto the jewelry, therefore completing the cycle begun by the "Cerista".

Each piece is unique, different, one of a kind: a goldsmith's work of art.
